Dr. Akinwuntan has been invited due to his trailblazing research on virtual reality in neurologically impaired persons. Speaker's Bio:
Abiodun Akinwuntan, Ph.D., MPH, MBA, MIH, FASAHP, FACRM, FAMedS, became the school's sixth dean in January 2016. He previously served as associate dean for research at the College of Allied Health Sciences at Augusta University in Augusta, Ga., where he was professor of physical therapy, ophthalmology, and neurology. Dean Akinwuntan currently serves on the board of directors of the Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions and the board of directors of the National Advisory Board on Medical Rehabilitation Research of the National Institutes of Health. In 2022 he was elected a fellow of the Academy of Medicine Specialties of Nigeria. |
