Abstract: In Law and Policy for the Quantum Age (Cambridge University Press 2022), Simson Garfinkel and Chris Hoofnagle argue that quantum sensing—not a collapse of cryptography—is the most important near-term implication of quantum technologies. In this talk, Hoofnagle will explain the landscape of quantum technologies, their strategic consequences, and likely scenarios for the quantum age.
