Queen Bee, the new Louisiana Board of Regents supercomputer named for Gov. Kathleen Blanco, ranks as the 23rd most powerful supercomputer in the world, according to the TOP500 Supercomputing Sites list released Wednesday.
Queen Bee is the lead computer in the Louisiana Optical Network Initiative, a Board of Regents initiative that links the state's research universities with a dedicated infrastructure.
